Clark County School District in Nevada is the fifth-largest school system in the United States. They selected Gibson from among six competing firms to conduct an Educational and Operational Efficiency Assessment Study. The $900,000, three-month project involved a student performance analysis, an academic programs and management review, a budget process review, and an operational review.
Gibson collected and analyzed over 1,000 documents from Clark County School District and interviewed approximately 260 Clark County School District staff members. We identified 45 recommendations for improvement which we estimated would, if fully implemented, result in annual General Fund net cost reductions of approximately $52 million per year. For this project, we also developed a data dashboard prototype for Clark County School District to use in performance measure tracking.
